Graphics settings keep defaulting?

Guys,

Everytime I open FSX some of my settings revert to default?

Main ones being;

GLOBAL TEXTURE reverts to medium from very high
AUTOGEN DENSITY reverts to sparse from normal

The Global ones a pain as my VC panels look dreadful at medium, I have to keep resetting these everytime I start up !!

Anyway I can get these to remain set at my settings ??

PS, Anyone else noticed the big green blobs of flat textures in Florida? Look like big lakes - are they supposed to be everglades ??? Noticed 'em out of Sebring. ?

Did you try saving a flight, after setting options you prefer? That is the only way, other than manual edit of FSX.cfg, that those settings will be retained.

But, there's another way. Did you go look in 'Options\Display\Save' (profile)? You can then have as many different 'setups' (low, medium, high, etc) for display as you want irregardless which flight (or AC) you wind up with.

So, after FSX loads (whichever flight) you can then go fetch ('load') whichever DISPLAY profile you need or want. It's NEW feature of FSX.

After you have set your graphic settings, press the save button on the lower portion of the screen.
