Thread: Engine audio bug with the Goose aircraft.

Default Engine audio bug with the Goose aircraft.

    Hi.

Everytime I switch to external view on the Goose, my engine audio gets stuck at full power, when I switch back to cockpit. The aircraft sounds as if the engines are running at full. To fix it I need to press full throttle with my yoke, and the ease back on the throttle. Like I have to catch up with the sound, and the ease it back down.

It´s only sound-related. The engines aren´t running at full...they just sound like they do. Anyone has the same problem?

Yes I do. Have you ever figured this out?

    Thanks

Yes I have had this EXACT problem with the Goose, Maule, and Beaver in my early days with FSX. It didn't happen all the time, but happened enough to make the Sim Un-enjoyable for me. No amount of "adjustments" to sliders helped. I did NOT do any so called "Tweaks".

The problem was SOLVED when I bought and installed a "Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer" sound card to replace my "OnBoard" sound. The sound in the Sim has been error free since then. SPOFF

Thanks SPOFF. That's what I may end up doing. I just bought a new system and can now fly FSX great. My wife will have the big one when I tell her I need a new sound card yet. DUH!

I had the same problems with those same aircraft. Very annoying! I solved the problem with a fresh driver install.

My sound problem (Creative Sound Blaster) caused freeze ups no matter what I did with the sliders...so I downloaded the latest sound driver (it was archived by Creative it was so old) and it fixed the problem...you might try this cheap fix first...good luck...
