I have read these posts regularly every since I got my copy of FS-X on the 6th of this month. I have a 3 year old 2.6 gig HP now that can run the game, but with practically no AI and very little airport scenery. Still it is fun for bush flying and if you stay away from the scenery trouble spots. I would like a computer that will do away with these limitations.
The solution seems simple: Buy a faster computer with the latest graphics cards and plenty of memory. However, I am seeing postings from people running such computers and the results they are getting are reportedly little if any better than mine, sometimes worse.
Can ANYONE give me the necessary information, based on their own experience, of a particular computer configuration that I can drive down and order from one of the U.S. retailers (Best Buy/Office Depot etc.), using their "design your own computer" stations, with confidence that it will definitely run FS-X well? I don't mean with the settings hard right, I know nothing available will do that.
I know, I should wait until after Vista and the DX10 cards are out, but I am getting a little long in the tooth and don't even buy green bannanas anymore.
Thanks for any help.
