    Default New Computer

I need to upgrade my pc now and I can't wait for FSX to test out. I am planning the following config

    Windows xp pro x64 edition
dual 250gb serial ata-300 8 mb cached hard drive 7200 rpm
Integrated serial ata raid controller (raid 0)
    cdrw/dvd combo drive
256mb nvidia geforce 7300gs graphics card pci express vga dvi-itv-out
    650 watt power supply
    17" lcd monitor
integrated intel high def 5.1 channel audio

    anybody have any ideas?

    Thanx

I'd go for a bigger monitor. I was going to get a 17incher with my latest comp I bought, and last minute decided to throw in a few bucks more for a 20.1". Even though it was more expensive, it was the greatest thing I could have done upgrading. But, other people have different opinions.

I'd go with a better video card, before the monitor, personally. Like the Radeon X1900XT or the nvidia 7900GT or GTX. Make sure you have 2GB of ram for FSX. If you have money to blow might as well go with two Raptors rather than the sata's. (10,000 rpm vs 7200)
