They never show the frame rate!
I sure would like to know what type of computers they use to develop their products on.

It's gotta be the most top of the line, highest of the high end, most expensive puter ever made. Look at the first Gamespot shot----looks like a real photograph. Unless we have about $3,000-$4,000 to spend, we will NEVER get graphics like that. Don't forget, this is a gaming test/review website, so they'll have access to the very best machines.
Dell XPS X8300 Intel core i7-2600(3.4 GHZ,8 MB Cache) 8 GB memory 1.5 TB HDD 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 6770 graphics card Windows 7
If you notice, the first image has a bit of writing at the bottom that says "concept image" or somesuch - in other words it's not what you will see in the game. The FSX water is way less realistic than that.
Using Ultimate Environment, FSGenesis Mesh, and Ultimate Terrain I think some of my current Flight Sim screens look as good as some of the FSX screens. Don't flame me for this but does anyone think FSX is going to be so much more than just FS2004 with addons?
Exactly. That's an artist's rendering of what someone thinks things will look like with DX10. I'll bet the other shots have been cooked a bit also.

Cant see us getting graphics like that for a while! Those ATC shots look great! Hope it can be used on VATSIM :)

They say that FSX terrain textures can have a resolution of 7cm. I've been told that the Megasceneries have 0.5meter resolution, but the problem with Megascenery is that it's not in my country :-(
I've been trying to import satelite pictures in FS2004 and this works very well with great results but FS2004 resolution is 4.5meter. so it only looks good at 3000 altitude. In FSX I will be able to import 7cm pictures and the result will be amazing ....
But even without addons. I never found any scenery addon for my country and I think the default FSX will look a lot better than the default FS2004. At least I hope. If not I'll jump in a real plane and start taking pictures myself ;-)
So are they feeding us with false hopes and enticing us into buying treally high end computers?
So MS please give us some official system requirements to properly run FSX and enjoy it as it should be.
