What's just going to ROCK about this version is 64 bit.
On Vista it will make a mid 2ghz class Athlon 64 feel like 5ghz.
Ok, that's a bit of an assumption, but I have tasted 64 bit gaming with Far Cry and Unreal Tournament 2004, on XP 64 bit.
In Unreal I was getting 180fps in places the exact same rig only pulls 65 while running 32 bit XP - and THAT'S despite the infancy level of the 64 bit OS, 64 bit video drivers, and chipset drivers!
With a much more evolved 64 bit OS, and maturation of the various other drivers, oh boy FSX is probably going to be a SERIOUS quantum leap.
Some are already saying "they're just updating the graphics" - well even if that were true, can you say "updated graphics WITH 3x better performance?" lol...
A 64-bit OS doesn't really help unless you have a 64-bit application.
*sigh* I wonder when we'll get to see the 737... :)
*sigh* I wonder when we'll get to see the Airbus!!! :-)
So FSX is 32 bit?
I don't know, but one of the nice folks above may ;)

Isn't that what Mike just said? You can't get "more official" than that!
