Default Need advice in planning video upgrade

I'm currently running a 19" panel at 1280 x 1024 x 32 resolution. I would like to consider a second monitor. Does that require a second video board? If so, can most systems handle a second board? Are there any restrictions - type of board, etc.? Considering the current trend, is a wide screen worthwhile for flying?

It depends on your video card -- some will handle two monitors just fine, some won't. By displaying two separate FS screens, you'll put a heavier load on your system, so there'll be somewhat of a performance hit. How much you'll notice depends on your specific system.

Without more info on your system and video card, it's hard to say much more. Widescreen is rather nice, especially in the virtual cockpit, and FS handles that just fine, too.
