Thread: FSX is base add-ons make the SIM

Default FSX is base add-ons make the SIM

How many people just use the default anything in FS9 or FS2k2? FSX will be the base just like the last sims and the freeware, shareware, trailware and payware make it "AS Real As It Gets"!!!!!!!
Thats why I did not like FS9 at first until a made the adjustments and add-ons.

You have to remember that the majority of people who buy the program never get a single free/payware scenery, plane, utility or whatever.

Only the real die-hard fan do that.

So the more stuff they can pack into the sim, the better for those who aren't going to go searching for stuff.

You have to be joking. That's how I got so involved with MS2k2 when I found all the freeware available on the net. If they visit this forum they would found out about so much FREE stuff as well as the payware product. Everyone has that favorite plane that they are willing to buy. I am still looking for the 757 as it goes out of production.

For those of use who are seriously enthusiastic flightsimmers, what you say is exactly true. But you need to remember, that overall we are not the majority of MSFS customers.

The thing is, we are really lucky that we get all the attention that we do. Compared to other Microsoft products like Windows, Office, etc. Flight Simulator sales are very small. Beyond that, the percentage of true enthusiasts like ourselves is even smaller. Yet, they actually do pay a lot of attention to our needs by providing a sim that's really open ended and expandable by third parties. It's actually kind of amazing they're will to do all that.

My FS9 is 99% pure FS9 as it comes out of the box.

I do have three payware aircraft from Flight1 and loaded extra trees, but other than that, it's plain FS9.

Based on early pictures of FSX, it's looks like it will be 99% FSX too.

But then I consider FS a game, not a hobby.

I think that's the same guy who attacked our VA a while back for not partnering up with their VA. Oh well.
