So has Microsoft confirmed Flight Sim 10 or 2005 or 2006 or whatever?

Nope. It's just that we all expect a new version sooner or later and, for convenience, are referring to FS10 (logical progression). But mostly we want MS to have a good idea of what users might like to see in the next release (whenever it may be -- next summer or fall perhaps).

We could use hex and call it Flight Simulator B. <g>
What? And skip A? <g>

Its too late for microsoft to gather opinions about FS10!!! They have been working on FS10 since, at least, the begining of 2003 when FS9 was anounced. MS could not have possibly had the entire FS Team of programers and artists on payroll to wait until now to decide what to do with FS10!
But please don't stop these threads. Its fun to read the wishes. (Some of those wishes may already have been incorporated in FS10.) Just don't be under illusion that this forum will affect the upcomming version of FS.
So lets wish for FS11..lol
Uh, how do you know this?
My educated guess is that it is not too late, and that you are quite incorrect with that statement.
Folks, a very educated guess on the parts of folks who have been in this business a long time say it is NOT too late. So, make your opinions known, do not hold back. :-)
Be under the impression that this forum CAN have an affect on the outcome of FS10 (or whatever it will be called). That does not mean everything you ask for will be added, but MS is reading, as they always do and always have.
Edit: BTW, this should add further proof that the FS team is interested and is reading.

I figure that if they are reaching out to the community via their blogs, this means that they want some interaction, and that also possibly means the next version is still a ways off. Since the blogs are relatively new, there's a hint that the next version might not be coming next month.

I heard from a reliable source that the fs team has only 2 lines of programing done for fs10
10 Print "Microsoft Flightsim"
20 For pause = 1 to 10,000;next pause.
I would think that the timing for major feature suggestions is probably a bit late by now but more modest suggestions could probably still be worked in. Even the major suggestions could effect the thinking behind FS11 so why hold back?
