FSX GPS not staying current with postion of AC

Hi all,

Having trouble with the FSX GPS not refreshing. - The data displays fine, but the map wont keep up to date. I can zoom in or out, and it will refresh, to show the correct position when it loads.

Is there a way to increase the map refresh rate ?

Not expecting a fix on this one, just need Bill or Someone to send Me in the right direction, and I'll hunt it down.

Bill, should I look in the GPS 500 XML ? - And any hint as to the wording I'm looking for would be great.

It is already refreshing as often as it can. The problem is that the fs9gps.dll module (which actually does the drawing in C/GDI and returns a static bitmap for display) is low on the priority task list and is at the mercy of how FS parcels out the CPU load.

The only effective way to increase the GPS map "refresh" would be to lower other stuff in the sim...
