Thread: Lost L-Variables

  1. Default Lost L-Variables

    Hi All,
I'm in the process of creating an XML gauge and during the testing of it in FS9, I noticed that the "L Variables", I use to control several switch positions, are not saved when I save the flight. In FS9, when I "Choose The Flight", everything is as it should be, but the switch positions. They have reverted back to an "off" state. Is there anyway to save the gauge "L Variables" when saving a flight in FS9? Thanks.

    Hi,

Unfortunately LVars are not saved to the flight file. However, using a C gauge as a bridge, you can save the values as lines added to the .flt and then, when loading the flight, retrieve those lines and assign their values to the corresponding LVars.

Thanks Tom for your solution. I don't know anything about C gauge programming so, I'll just reset the switches in flight. Thanks again.
