Thread: FSX and SimConnect

  1. Default FSX and SimConnect

    Hi all,
does any body knows how to set the values for the autopilot (heading, course, alt...) using SimConnect?
If I believe in the SDK and its description of the SimVars, these values are not settable! I suppose I missed something due to my poor english knowledge...

    By advance, thanks...

    Best regards,

    Robert

Are you looking in the right place? \Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\Variables\Event IDs.htm

    Thank you very much Bill,
this is a part that I have not very well understood, I am afraid...
I thought that the events were issued by the Sim when the action was done... I did not saw that it was the opposit...
I'll go to the samples folder and look for an example. Perhaps it will be more clear after.

    Best regards,

    Robert

Nope... if it helps, think of the events as the "goesinta" and the token variables as the "comesoutta"... ;)

    Or, less colloquially, :+

key events are the "do this" commands

token variables are the "tell me what you did"

    Hi Bill,
thanks for your answers. You pointed me in the right direction, and I found in the SDK some examples, as now I was knowing what I was searching for...

    Best regards,
