I just bought the Baron w/ Reality XP last night - all installs went by the numbers.
Load the aircraft in FS and it immediately crashes to desktop. I checked the Reality XP service bulletins and made the appropriate changes to my Windows XP folder options - still immediately crashes to desktop.
Next, I removed the (both) panel.cfg folders - plane loads and operates fine.
So I put the panels back in the aircraft folder but edited out ALL of the Reality XP gauges - aircraft loads and operates fine with only the Dreamfleet gauges.
I systematically return individual Reality XP gauges to discover the probelm returns when the 430/530 GPS gauges are in.
I read a post about someone having a similar problem with the Lite version of the Baron. My FS is almost entirely add-on. I don't have any stock scenery, weather, aircraft or anything left. My computer and all software is very current in fact cutting edge - so I don't understand why I would be having this problem.
The other thread suggested a reinstall of FS9 and components - which would take me a couple of days if I was to attempt it. The Baron's a fine plane but that's a tall order!
I have also posted this on the Reality XP forum - no response yet.
Any help is appreciated!
cheers,
Sam
p.s. Would not having a registered version of FSUICP cause this??
