Default CTD A36 after installing Reality xp

My Beech A36 ran fine and did not give me any problems until I installed the WX500 and GNP430 from Reality XP. The guys over there have been wonderful trying to help but no matter what, when I click on fly now button to start the sim, it simply Poofs to the desktop. No error message, no warnings or blue screen of death.

Now, I did NOT use the configuration tool on the Dreamfleet A36. The GPS and weather radar work fine in other planes. It is just this one that disappears!

    Hi Bob,

There shouldn't be any conflict, as the A36 uses its own gauges, however something seems to have got corrupted.

Have you tried reinstalling the A36 (from the downloaded "wrapper" file or the previously-extracted installation file, as both should work if still on the same system.)

    Cheers,

    Alastair

    Hi Bob,

have you reinstalled the latest v5.1 of the WX500 and GNS430 released a couple days ago?

Yes, I reinstalled both of them. It did not seem to help. Even an error message would be more helpful than the screen going "POOF". My next step is to reinstall the Bonanza.

I did send a reply to you guys right after I tried it. Ironically, one of the reasons I bought the full package was how impressed I was with the Weather Radar and the GPS when I beta tested the Bonanza.

Okay made some progress. I substituted the Reality XP radar and GPS in the panel config for the Dreamfleet supplied ones. It comes up now with no problem. Only thing I can't remember because it has been a while since I flew the A36, is if those gages are supposed to pop up when clicked on. I think they did, but we went through a few changes in the beta test and my old brain is a bit faded

    Hi Bob,

The GNS430 and WX500 do indeed pop-up. Let me have your email address and I'll send you the normal panel.cfg file for the Bonanza.

    Cheers,

    Alastair
