Thread: A36 Weight and Balance

    Default A36 Weight and Balance

In the A36 manual I do not see any statement of the aircraft's basic empty weight arm measurement or moment. I'd like to be able to do my own WaB calculations and without this value I'm unable to. Is this value in the manual, or can Lou or someone give me an accurate arm or moment value please? Thanks.

Hmm...I feel like I've done something wrong. Is this topic taboo or what? Can someone please answer my question or at least provide the courtesy of a "no we can't do that"? Thanks.

You can open aircraft.cfg with notepad and look into that section. We have used the original values - but be aware they are in feet and not in inch as usally referred to.

Same here - no reply as I didn't know, and was waiting for the "A-36 builders" or someone with the required information to respond.

    Cheers,

What was provided in the A36 came from the actual W&B section of the real A36 manual, and there is nothing else available to provide.

I'm sorry that I did not respomd sooner, but I missed your post. I'm only human, you know?

Lou, you're not human. You're super human the way you guys build great aircraft and still keep up with everyone on the boards. Sorry if I came across as miffed about not getting a response. I was just trying to tug your shirt sleeve a little harder (like a little kid) to get your attention. Thanks for replying, everyone. I'll keep snooping around in the manual. The basic empty weight arm or at least the basic empty weight moment is required to calculate a weight and balance. It has got to be around somewhere. I'll keep looking. Again, thanks.
