Thread: A36 Standby Altimeter

    Default A36 Standby Altimeter

I did a search of these forums and checked the manual but I did not find anything...

it seems that the Standby Altimeter in the A36 does not work or reads wrong all of the time. To be honest I'm not sure and I only checked it in the VC, but it does not read the same as the Primary Altimeter.

Is this a bug, by design, or am I doing something wrong?

Not a bug. They are indepedently ajustable. So, after adjusting the primary, you'll need to adjust the standby unit. Also, pressing "B" will only set the primary. You'll need to set the standby manually in all cases.

    Very right Todd :)

The secondary altimeter on the Bonanza is truely independant from the primary and must be individually set, just like you would on a real one.

The big advantage of having them seperate becomes clear when your primary altimeter fails, as the second one will be fully operational :)

    Best regards, Elmar

Thanks. Didn't even consider that. :)

Great job all. This is, by far, my favorite aircraft.
