Pressurization Failure

I am having trouble with the pressure system on the 727. I followed the checklist, setting the control to automatic, field elevation, cruise altitude, cabin pressure level. But on climb out, the cabin failed to pressurize at all, attaining a pressure level equal to the altitude of the aircraft. I tried to adjust in standby mode, but no success. What am I doing wrong? You set the FLT/GRD switch to FLT before takeoff?

Yes to both questions. However, I finally realized that the trip switches for the Pack and Bleed ducts were in the "tripped" position. And I thought those amber lights were so pretty too. With the switches in and dark, pressurization works so much better! Thanks for the quick reply!
