Thread: Cold And Dark

  1. Default Cold And Dark

    Even though I select the cold and dark option from the config menu, the AC still sometimes load with electrical and AP started. Is there any way to make it permenently start cold and dark? There's got to be something you're setting in the cfg file.

    I already load default AC first with nothing on, but that don't make any difference.

    Setting and saving the cold and dark option will reset the cfg file so that on next starting FS, it will be cold and dark.

    However, to allow flexibilty, the cfg will save the current aircraft state on closing FS. So if you do a cold and dark start but simply exit FS after landing without completing the proper shutdown, next time you start FS the 727 will still have the engines running.

    No, there's not. Your options would be to shut it down competely after you park in which case the panel state will be exactly what you left it or do that and you'll simply have to run the config manager, choose and apply the cold and dark state from the drop down list, then press OK to exit the config manager.

    Well if you don't mind messing about. Set the cold and dark state and then go to the FS2004 folder and make a copy of ga727.cfg and put it somewhere safe.

    After each flight, copy your safe ga727.cfg back to the fs2004 folder.

    For this, u can use a Batch like this:

    copy the cold&dark ga727.cfg in a backup-Dir
    ----------------------------------------
    @ECHO OFF
    copy d:\FS9\backup\ga727.cfg d:\FS9

    start d:\FS9\fs9.exe
    --------------------------------------

    So, u have ever a Cold&Dark Situation when the Flightsim started.

    Kind Regards
    Julio
