loss of ATC sound with wilco's PIC

Just looking for some advice I have just downloaded the PIC patch for FS 2002. Everything works well for about 5 mins then I lose all ATC sound. the ATC window is present and you can interact with it, but it seriousley spoils the experiance. Can anyone out there in the cyber-either help?

Abit kt7a mobo
256mb sdram
Geforce 2gts pro (detonator 27.50)
Soundblaster audiology player
all the latest drivers

I had a similar problem with a new panel I downloaded becaues of the sound it would make when the gear was down. Evidently, this sound played so repeatedly that the ATC couldn't get "in" to the stream. That might be your problem. YOu might not hear hear anything different, but it could be playing some sound when you'er up in the air. Does it happen only in the air? On the ground? Etc...

Thanks for replying so swiftley, this usualy happenes on the ground, but has occured in the air as well and once it is present it stays until I to anothern aircraft
