    Sorry to disagree.

FSUIPC works very good for me. I had the battery drain problem in everyone of my birds. Since I bought FSUIPC I have not only fixed this problem (I have the PSS Concorde too), but I have customized my flying controls, weather changes and some other technical issues.

In my personal opinion registering FSUIPC is very worth.

At least for me, it gives me enough time to do all checklists without having to start egines promptly beside some other advantages.

You can just program a keypress for your Avionics button and use that instead of reloading. At least this works for me. I set my Avionics master switch to Shift-A in Assignments and that's all I have to press to get everything back the way it was, every time this happens.

    Well,

i use Registered FSUIPC and yes it works to solve the drain problem, but not every time with 727 and especially PSS Concorde. And yes i configured the Avionik switch to Shift-A. There is a problem with electrical logic betweeen FS and some Addons under some circumstances. If it was so easy to solve it we wouldn´t have some trhreads abbout it here.

    To place something good:

Thank you to dreamfleet and flight1, the support here is much much much better then PSS Forum.

    Regards

I was just reacting to sparrow's comment that FSUIPC didn't solve this particular problem.. I am considering registering FSUIPC for the other functionality one of these days... (meanwhile I bypassed the electrical problem with electric_always_available=1 in the aircraft.cfg file)

There is no problem at all.

It is good you workaround the problem without having to register FSUIPC.

There are several paths that lead to Rome.

The thing is that from all of the suggestions to take one of these paths, you use the one you feel is better for you. :-)

I tried this last night and unfortunately pressing the Avionics Master did not bring the radio's etc. back in my case...

This is becomming the biggest wind up ever!!

My experience so far is that I can load the 727, switch the battery on and go have dinner or whatever. If I check back some 30 minutes later, the electrics are all fine BUT the avionics have died. Not a big problem as starting any engine brings the Avionics back.

What is going to throw this a bit is when we get some people saying FSUIPC fixes it (it shouldn't) and others saying assigning the Avionics to a key doesn't fix it....it should. Conflicting info is a problem.

One problem in the 727 is that it doesn't have a convenient Avionics switch.......so that function is coupled to the battery switch. So a question, what happens if you toggle the battery switch after the Avionics die?

By the time we release the update, most users will by flying in less time than it takes for the Avionics to die LOL!!!!

Hey Paul... sorry to give you another piece of conflicting info... :-eek but in my case, starting the engine after the electronics have died DOES NOT bring them back. If I start an engine BEFORE they die, it does prevent the problem, though.

I will try the toggling of the battery just for the heck of it..

Tried toggling the battery, and that doesn't re-animate the electronics either. I assume you guys are experiencing this problem even when the APU is running and connected (I am)?

My best piece of advice is register FSUIPC. :-) I am sorry if someone disagrees with me. To say it will not fix the problem or it is not supposed to fix the problem. Or that with alternate keystrokes or whatever.

As I said before. I left the battery problem awhile a go behind since I registered FSUIPC with every aircraft I have. And believe me I am a compulsive buyer of add-ons.

I think that if you have a HUGE investment in high quality add-ons like me, to have some utility like FSUIPC that gets them running smooth because of a native problem of FS9 is worth it.
