    Default future dreamfleet projects

    hello DF team,
the simulation community has seen many products, however I have to say that there is one plane, which has not been beaten by another one: definatly the DF737! Just to make one thing clear: i'm a guy who ALWAYS MUST complain about small details of the model, usually the nose, or the miss-dimensioned fuse, etc. However i've installed FS2000 after a long time ago today just to fly the DF737 again. And.. all I can say: STUNNING. The DF737 was made for FS2000, we have tons of "super-eye-candy" planes/addons for FS2004, however, while flying the DF737, the model is the last thing i care about. Its the panel that impresses me, though i'm usually the one (as i said above) who ALWAYS complains about small detail mistakes of the models. Everytime a developer posts a preview-thread, i'm one of the first who starts to complain, but DreamFleet never gave me a reason to complain, because i can be sure that you'll make the best you can! Its hard to describe what makes me love the DF737, maybe the AFAS (too bad that no one else has ever done something like that), the gorgeous perspective in the cockpit or the overall rendition of the panel, i dont know. All I can say is, the DF737 is a milestone and still my top-favourite addon ever.

Now the reason why i started this thread...
the only jet you made after the 737 is the 727 (which i proudly own too! - and also made a screenshotflight-> http://www.valleyofthewolves.org/flightsim/dhl.html ), the point is, the 727 is quiet old, or i'd better say: too hard to learn to fly it. Long time ago you announced the a340 and cancelled it, which clearly shows that you always target on perfection. However you announced the 737-200 / 737-800 too, but we havent heared anything from that for a long time. It's not really important what you're going to do (and i'm not going to ask for any informations about the next projects :D)
but give your loyal customers a jet, no matter what, (i dont mean those beasts with a lot of clocks inside, but those with a fmc :D) but plz a jet ! a J-E-T

Polat (or Darth Mop from the avsim forums ;))

Sadly, you'll not be too pleased that current jet that I'm doing is the DC-8. This was chosen because there's a hole in the market (no point in doing another 737, 747, 757/767, Airbus, MD-80) and certainly not because of the athestics in the cockpit......especially the 55 I had photographed - it looked fit for the junkyard!!!!!

Having said that, as time goes by, the DC-8 is gradually growing on me because it's just so different from the norm.

Oh, and I love those DHL screenshots, really nice :-)

    Hi Paul,

Great news about the DC-8. It's a fine airplane. She's always been one of my favorites, especially the dash 61 (flown by Delta, and many others).

I just can't decide which of the first generation four engine jets I prefer, the DC-8 or the 707.

The last good DC-8 I saw for MSFS was for FS98 by Project Freeware, and I was using a great DC-8 panel by Olav. I loved your MD-80 panel for FS2000, by the way.

I agree with you about there being a hole in the market. There certainly are enough new generation airliners out there already. I would like to see another good 757 though.

The DC-8 is another great Dreamfleet airplane I look forward to adding to my ACOF hanger.

    Later,

    Paul and Bozo,

I really look forward to a DC-8. I find it much easier to fly an airliner without a FMC.
Navigating by VOR:s and NDB:s is pretty basic, I know, but at least I feel that I have the situation under control. If I program a FMC I'm never sure if I got it right or not. Besides that, why should I let a virtual computer fly my computerbased simulator ? :-)

Anyway, I think an old airliner sim can be like a time warp sometimes. You can fly without speed restrictions in uncrowded airspace and just enjoy yourself to full extent without any interference from traffic or grumpy ATC.

    Here are a few hints:

    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/651024/M/
    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/396720/M/

Scandinavian Airlines operated DC-8-33, -55, -62 and -63 so I hope you will make all of these variants ;)

I peeked at Bozo's website and I was really impressed of both the screenshots and repaints !
    Keep them coming !

    Best regards,

I suppose I can't convince you to consider the DC-8-20 variant? On Simforums, I read that your only doing the DC-8-50 or 60.

I'll use all my persuasion skills to try to convince you :-)

Of course you -could- put an FMC into the -8, like this pic...
