Thread: Beech Duke

    Default Beech Duke

Have you all ever considered doing a Beech Duke? This airplane is strangely absent in the FS world, both freeware and payware. I feel this is a very unique plane, and an excellent addition to the current Beech family you have done. PLus, this is my all-time favorite plane, and my dream plane to own one day. Thanks!

If I could find one nearby to photograph, but they are somewhat rare birds. ;-)

Actually, I have changed my thinking on this, and would actually prefer to do a Beech Starship, IF, I could get access to one of the remaining ones to photograph!

I think you need to talk to Burt Rutan.

This one is located only 100 miles away from where I live:

There is one converted to turboprop at my home airport. If I could grab a bunch of pics (maybe you give me details of what to take), ahh nevermind my camera sucks. I don't think there are any starships left, I believe Beech bought them all back and destroyed them because they were not able to offer parts support anymore. The duke is pretty rare, but it is one of a kind (well, maybe the cessna 4-series comes close), and I know you guys would do it justice.

I dont' know if they still do it...But a long time ago Beech used to offer various drawings of all their planes. They came in various scales and thay were detailed....And the Duke was one of them!Maybe contacting Raytheon/Beech would turn up something?....I have card laying around from about 1983 when I ordered some drawings from them...I'd have to dig it up.
I have some of the Cessna line....Dont' ask...I know someone was inquiring about the P-210.
Lou now that I have a functioning scanner I could send them to you.
