Default DF 727: Probably the best add-on yet!

Just wanted to convey how happy I am with DF 727. I flew two flights today, short ones to acquaint myself with the aircraft: a daytime KSEA-CYVR flight, and a night time CYVR-KSEA.

Just about the only word I can use to describe my experience is WOW! This is the first time I have really felt a suspension of disbelief. I really felt as if I was at the controls of a 145,000 lb aircraft because of the excellent "heavy" feel of the aircraft as I hand-flew to a smooth landing in CYVR. In addition, I really feel as if I'm at the controls, even when I use the autopilot--which itself is a joy to use, as I've found that I still need to babysit the controls. No setting an FMC and then falling asleep for the flight! :-)

All in all, an excellent product, Dreamfleet. I'm one happy customer.

    Cheers!

Agreed - it's in the upper echelon of airliners for FS2004 for sure - been flying nothing else since it came out!

WHEN WILL THE BANK SEND ME MY CREDIT CARD SO I CAN INSTALL THIS THING???

    *sniff*

Well, I'll have it by mid-January!

From all accounts this aircraft is absolutely groundbreakingly excellent... are there any analog-era airliners that come close? The nearest alternative seemed less polished or immersive than the classic 734...

Hi all: Can we stop this shoulder clapping and all? Why not just say it like that: Lou Betti and the whole team at Dreamfleet are just one great bunch, afficionados, plane lovers and probably the reason I will soon loose my job because I am constantly sitting behind the wheel of this fabulous plane and completely forgetting that I have to go to work...:-) :-)

Guys - again a big THANK YOU. Go on with your work you do and give us some more of these wonderful birds!!

All the best to everybody at Dreamfleet / Flight One. Merry X-Mas and a very happy new year, hopefully a prosperous one.

    Kudos from Zurich/Switzerland

    Benjamin

P.S. What a shame Swissair never flew this type - what a wonderful livery that would have been

Let's keep in mind that while I did make some suggestions towards what I wanted to see in the 727, the general concept and execution of the 727 was that of Paul Golding and team (see our web site for all the credits), who did an excellent job of upholding the DF tradition. All I did was open my mouth a bit, and do the web site section for it. Paul and team did all the work, with Flight 1's Tom Main doing the Configuration Manager.

Okay, I made the inclusion of the radar possible, and did the graphic for it, I forgot, I did do something on it! :-lol

Anyway, thanks for the kind remarks, as I am sure they are appreciated by all of us here.

Again, my congratulations to Paul and team, they deserve all the kudos, but enough back slapping, they still have some more work to do before we release the CD version. ;-)

    Happy Holidays,
