    Default More information

Let me add that IF we do make these banners available, there will be some restrictions as to their use (what you can / cannot say in posts when using them).

I still have my misgivings about this, but I still think the good may outweigh the bad. So, let's see what the poll says, and feel free to post your remarks again as you did the last time.

Yeah, I know, I probably should have just taken a poll the last time! :-lol

BTW, I am so "on the fence" with this question that I am not even casting a vote!

I guess the bottom line for me is I like your products and would like to show my support with a banner, if available. Thats how I first learned about Dreamfleet in the first place, I saw a post by Lou and then searched for Dreamfllet planes.

I'm really not worried. It would increase your name being out there (although anybody using FS and the internet should know about you anyway), but it could leave you open to someone dragging your name down.

Tough decision....I would love a banner to support you guys but at the same time it would be a shame to see people posting rude and obnoxious posts with the Dreamfleet named attached. Let the poll decided...

    Default No.

I'd much rather show my support by optimizing my planes to work with your panels, wouldn't you? To this day the original panel is still the one we officially endorse on even our newest (albeit unreleased) 737 NewGen models. ;)

Oh, plus, my CV-990 banner is T3H K3WL. :-cool

I voted 'no'. I don't think that people need it, and they can show their support by assisting others with their issues, recommending the excellent DF planes to others. There are many ways in which people can show their support for DreamFleet without Banners.

    BTW...Lou, do I get a banner?

    Default I voted no...but...

Simply it boils down to what you guys want to do.

It comes down to the fact that as someone mentioned before, it sometimes would seem that if they get obnoxious that the do seem attached to the banner that is under thier name.

Also it can create some confusion on if someone is actually associated with said developer, or just appreciates a good product.

Lastly, I have really viewd banners as kind of a way for people to have a little something about themselves, or personality.

Of course that is just my opinion, for whatever it is worth.

If Dreamfleet do decide to offer a banner, can I suggest that this is limited to something like "Dreamfleet Supporter" or "Dreamfleet Owner" and keep the special or "professional" banners for the likes of Lou etc. who have an active role in the creation of the software.

This would also have the advantage of maintaining a consistant visual brand where the only variations from the "normal" banner indicate an official Dreamfleet Team member rather than just a supporter.

Frankly, by now, Dreamfleet has no need to advertise that it exists - your products should - and do - speak for themselves.

    Cheers,

I would definatly use it if you came out with one. But with that being said, immature users of varios forms may also use it and give you a bad image by stating false information and plain old being rude.

I also belive that if the user wanted one bad enough they'd make their own :)
