Just great that you guys are making a NG to. Hope you will make a better conditional waypoints function than the one in PMDG's. Off course, i don't even now if you will make such a function, at least not in the classic's you are making (even though that function is available in the classic's.) hehe, i have got the impression Lou, that you are not so fond of automatic functions. I just don't hope that will reflect your future products, hehe :P.

Great work, looks really nice ;)

    simply : AMAZING !!!
having that panel in FS2004 is unbelievable !!
i'm new on this forum... i know u hate receiving some questions about a not yet finished product... but let me ask, and you 'll answer if you want to.

    1) I'm a commercial pilot, with 32 hours on a Full Sim B732. And i'm might pass my type rating on the B732 this summer. (might have found an airline job.. corssing fingers !!).
I'm wondering about possibility to fail some systems in the future B732 and the reliability to a real B732 aircraft's systems & circuits... Will there be as many possibility of failures as found in 767 PIC ? Do u care about the (for example) hydraulic system diagram of a real B732 aircraft taken from the flight manual when making your product ?? or just making "that button will activate this" and that s it ?
    (hope i'm clear...)

    2) and the most hated questions... do u think the B732 product might come out yet for this summer or more probably by the end of the year ??

    Thanks

Hi Lou, sorry I didn't come back to you before.

I like to fly whatever I've flown before in real life (not a great variety to choose from really :-lol) or whatever I think I *might* be flying in the future during my career.

The only GA I have in my hangar at this moment is FSD's Navajo, and I don't even categorize that work of horse as a GA, I use it to simulate charters flights of some local companies that fly in the region where I live, mostly low IFR flights. But don't worry, I'm this () close to buy your Archer, I did my initial training in a PA-28-140 but the closest one around is your -180 which looks beautiful and I know its system and FDE are very well modeled, so, I'm waiting to get a new video card and the Archer to start doing some serious VFR flying, I have the charts and E6-B ready.

I've been seriously simming since ATP by SubLOGIC back in the late 80s and you may not believe me if I tell you that my first payware was PMDG's 737NG. What I've done! :-eek that was my first reaction after flying around for a while, I couldn't go back and now I only fly payware planes (with the exception of Fanda's Dash 8). These days, with so many great airplanes around and so many great projects coming soon I really don't know what I'll do, it's so easy to "fly" that many airplanes but is so hard to "master" all of them.

But you know, now that I think about it, I haven't bought a small GA plane before because I've been waiting for an airplane or some product with really smooth analog gauges. I really like to use FS as a training aid but for me is not ideal to do an ILS approach to the minimums with the gauges I've seen (and heard about) so far. Now let me take the opportunity to suggest you to make either a Beech Baron or a Travelair multi engine trainer with a full IFR panel with smooth gauges, I think you'll find a great market for such a product.

Well Lou, looking forward for your future projects, and please stop making so many airplanes, my wife would really appreciate it :P.

    Best regards,

    Carlos.

Hey Erick, don't worry too much with what I'm saying, my suggestion to you was after reading many posts (here and in AVSIM) where you very elegantly have bashed PMDG's 737. If my perception is wrong I apologize.

It's very wise to recognize others work, especially if they deserve it.

    Carlos.

    "Necromant user: resborn topics...like me"

    well, removing dust.

hmm, I was looking the panel... looked up some questions.

The 732 has the PMS (or PDC), looks that the DF732 will not have. No autothrotle too.

I was thinking. Why bought the plane without the PMS?
we have a freeware panel with just a few diferences (like TCAS).
I really wanna know a great good reason to buy this baby.

It sounded a little rude to me.. However I believe you'll change your mind after flying the 727. Here is a good reason: It will be DreamFleet rendition of 737, not a one man's nice freeware work.

PMS? PDC? Huh? You talking about the IRS/GPS or the Autopilot? If you're talking about the autopilot, then it's simple - they chose to model a specific version of the autopilot that is in service, and it happens to be the original autopilot that was delivered on the airplane. If you don't like it, don't buy it. The 737 and 727 weren't built to be flown on autopilot. They were built to be flown by HAND. The autopilot was only designed to allow the pilot to relax during cruise and not have to worry about trying to keep the plane flying extremely precise to be the most efficient and navigate properly.

As for autothrottle, the 737-200 DOESN'T HAVE ONE. Any panel that has one is WRONG. :)

We're starting with the -200 as a Flight 1 "Iron Kunckles" product. Which essentially is a genre of aircraft that preceeded the automated aircraft that we have today, and required both real flying skills and navigational skills from the pilot.

While not identical, our 737-200 is closely based on the 737-200 being flown (at least for now, as they are being retired rapidly) by the largest operator of 737s in the world, Southwest Airlines.

In fact, at Southwest, they want their pilots to keep their flying skills sharp. Thus, even the newest SWA 737NGs are NOT equipped with auto throttle or VNAV (just like the rest of their fleet). The -300s and the NGs have an FMC, and that's about it.

I'll bet some folks didn't know that you could have an FMC in a Boeing 737NG without needing to have an auto throttle or VNAV.

After the -200, which will be the "foundation", DreamFleet, under its own name, will move on to the -300/-400/-500 series, which will feature the automation many crave. Yes, we'll put in the FMC, the auto throttle, VNAV, etc.

As to freeware, we have nothing against freeware, but we chart our own course, and I'd like to think our products speak for themselves.;-)

I'm looking forward to the 737 release.... I enjoyed using the older panel back in FS2002 days, and it'll be nice to have it again FS2004.

Keep up the good work guys.............
