Lou,
I just tried to install a new texture for the C177 updated to FS9--using the Text-O-Matic as produced in the FS2004 update.
Strangely, I get Text-o-Matic as the CFS2 VERSION. (See Joe's query in the "TEXT-O-MATIC" thread below for a similar occurence.)
I did go ahead, placing the new bmps in the FS9/Flight One Software/Text-o-Matic/Templates directory. When using this version of Text-o-Matic, the new aircraft.cfg loses all the ATC information--and I don't know what else--from the previous aircraft as well as signores the new information in the new painted aircraft. The Text-o-Matic in this form is thus useless.
Lou, do we know if this is a special "UNDOCUMENTED FEATURE" of the FS2004 update?
Any straigthforward solutions?
Best,
Mike
UPDATE. Tried the older version of Text-o-Matic from FS2002, moving it to the appropriate FS9/Flight One Software.Text-o-Matic directory. Got the same result--with the "CREATE AIRCRAFT IN CFS2" button. After "creation", the aircraft.cfg file is stripped of all Air Traffic Control information (and lots of other stuff from the real FS9 aircraft.cfg file.) Presumably, we're crating aircraft for CFS2 which don't have these additional bits of information...
Again, any ideas about what to do?
