Orange Cigar?

What is the orange cigar shaped thing at about 10 o clock from the ADF gauge on the traditional view of the c310?

A panel light. This type is very common on older aircraft.

Er ..... lighting the panel ? Think along the lines of a desklamp for the cockpit.
