Archer/Cardinal in FS9

Trying to be good/patient while waiting for the update(s), but am going into DF withdrawl! lol This question may apply even after the update, but to install off of the CD-Rom into fs9, would I just be creating a folder titled "fs2002.cfg" in the fs9 root directory? Or is there more to it? Will the coming updates take care of this?

Not a folder, just a blank text file named fs2002.cfg. Or, just copy over your real fs2002.cfg file to the main fs9 folder / directory. It will have to effect on the sim, just on the installer. That's it. :-)

The updates will not pertain to this, as there is no need. If you read the anchored thread above, you will see we plan a "mover" to move the files from fs8 to fs9, so there is no need to fool the installer. The update then gets applied to the files once they are in fs9.

Frankly, until we get this thing out, just fool the installer, then wait for the update. ;-)

I hope to have the Archer update out this week (Flight One and DF are really backed up with lots of work right now), as the update is complete. Then we will follow it with the Cardinal.

Sweet. I really do miss simming with these planes.
