1.2 ghz...Anyone out there

Hi all,
I have a 1.2ghz Athlon,512 meg DDR,GeForce2GTS Pro(have just ordered a ASUS Ti4800SE)SB live and WinXP.Is anyone running FS9 on a similar system and what are your experiences?I also will be running DF aircraft(OF COURSE:-roll ),Activesky,radar contact V3.1,and Lagos Emma Field and Georender series.I want honest opinions of this newest MS offering both good and bad.

Now this is weird: I have EXACTLY the same rig. Obviously I am also interested in any feedback, so bump !

I have a very similar system and I have all sliders "all the way up"!
'04 is running great after some minor tweaking!

AMD Athlon 1.3 Ghz
640 Megs DDR
2 x 80 Gig HDD
NVidia GForce4 TI 4600

I was hoping for some replies to that effect.I have also seen some bad reports on systems like ours,perhaps the video card is the key?

The card and proper tweeking, new NVidia drivers should be out soon!

I cant believe no one else has a similar system???Is my PC so far out of date???come on guys share your experiences.

I'm very similiar: 1.2 ghz Athlon, 512 RAM. My video card, however, is a GForce II-Ultra using the 44.03 drivers. I get quite a bit of stuttering with sliders about half-way. Unfortunately I'm not ready to get a new system. Does anyone think I'll get more by simply upgrading the video card? Thanks!

Probably not. I'm in the same boat. The thing that matters the most is CPU power. I'll probably upgrade to a 3 Ghz machine sometime next year.

For 2002, I upgraded from a GeForce2 to a GeForce4. I saw about 2 fps increase. 2004 is horrible, I can't get much over 10 fps without sliding back all the settings. I think I'm going to wait until the next generation of CPUs come out and get a new machine. Doesn't pay to get a 3.2 Ghz now.
