Thread: Cessna 310 - No gauges

1. Default Cessna 310 - No gauges

Hi,

I just downmoaded and installes the 310 on my computer under FS2002, but the gauge don't appear.
I checked the panel.cfg file and looked for the gauges. They are installed in the standard FS2002/gauges subfolder.
Only the altimeter appears, nothing else.
DF310ec.gau is 1.44 Mb and DF310ec2.cab is 286 bytes in size.
I use Windows 98.

What can I do to get the gauge shown.
Thanks for the help

Jean-Pierre

Hi Jean-Pierre,

You also have DF310NJ1 and DF310NJ2 gauges I take ?

It is very important to leave your .lic file in the c:\flight one software folder or copy it to your FS root folder.

If you have deleted it, re-installing will solve the problem for you :)

Best regards, Elmar

LAST EDITED ON Jul-13-03 AT 10:43AM (EDT)[p]Like you said Elmar, (I guess we were writting at the same time) there should be four sets of main gauges. The files are df310ec.gau df310ec2.cab DF310NJ1.gau and DF310 NJ2.gau as well as a df310ec.ini file. If you only have the first two, the only things that should show up are the Altimiter, click spots, King avionics, hobbs meter and a hand full of other things. The rest of the primary instuments are located in DF310NJ1.gau. You should also have a file called C421NJ5.gau, as the default FS2002 Garmin GNS 530 uses that gauge for the skywatch sercice to work. (remember the 530 was origionally used in the Flight1 Cessna 421C. ;-))

If you don't have them all, probably your download got corrupted and you should unistall, download, and reinstall the 310.

Same problem here. I have tried everything mentioned here but still no gauges. What next? Also the engine quit as soon as I start the game. When I uninstalled the plane it took away shared files for my Cessna 421 and the Meridian trainer would not work.

Any help would be appriciated,
Keith

Would the license file be the "key" or the "proof of purchase" file??? I don't see any license file as such.

6. Default RE: Cessna 310 - No gauges

Hi there,

It is a file called C152-1.lic or, in case of the 310, c310v1.lic.

The wrapper automatically creates that in the c:\Flight One Software folder.

Best regards, Elmar

p.s. having read your problems in this thread, try this:

1. re-install from the wrapper
2. start fs with a default aircraft
3. once fs is loaded, change to the 310
4. check mixture, should be rich

The symptom where engines die, have seen that with leftovers from other planes etc etc

Keith,

Simply reinstall from the Wrapper application. Not the Setup program.

8. Default RE: Cessna 310 - No gauges

Well I just did that and it wouldnt work. (no engine & no gauges) so I re-installed the entire thing. Now I still get no gauges and my 412C wont display the GPS and the Meridian has no gauges. I will not have to un-install the 310 and re-install the other planes. This is awefull! I know that these are anti-piracy measures that make the gauges look for the lic file and config files BUT you can see from your records that I purchased all the planes I have told you about including the c310. I cant see why you cant use a more install friendly installer. I started having problems with the BeechJet 400 and not this one. The Merdian gave me issues but were fixed after awhile but this is to fustrating. I want to HAVE FUN and as you can see I don't think twice about spending the money BUT I want it to work and not give me headachs and I dont want to have to through this every time I install a new plane I buy! :(

Regards,
Keith

What OS are you running?Could this be a Win.'98 related problem? Are you sure you installed to the default folder?Should be C:\FlightOneSoftware.If this folder is missing,ALTHOUGH you could have a back-up in another folder,it WILL NOT work.Check that you have all the files in the default folder,if you're not sure what should be there and what not, delete the contents of C:\FlightOneSoftware and re-install from the F1 Wrapper(not the installer) and you should be up and running.I've been through this once,I deleted the default folder and kept my back-up folder(C:\FS Addons\FlightOneSoftware),but it didn't work!Till I'd worked out what was going on it took hours of tearing my hair out!Maybe you'll have to start afresh, but you must have done something wrong the first time,or do you have some kind of system problem that could be causing problems? When everything is as it should be,there shouldn't be any problems with other aircraft etc.I have all of Dreamfleets aircraft, and all of Flight1's,and also the BJ400,as well as the RXP Garmin, and their JL2 and JL4,and I have never had any trouble with the install,or that something conflicts with something else.I don't even need to use tricks like using the default Meigs flight to load the aircraft,I have them all as saved flights, and they all work.If I want to push my luck,I can even change from one to the other in flight(which you really SHOULDN'T do!)and FS doesn't crash(I only do this to check the program stability, normaly it's asking for trouble)Hope you get it all sorted out,it's very frustrating I know, keep your chin up mate, when it's sorted out the 310 is more than worth it!Hope this helps,
