Thread: The Dreamfleet Site.

    Default The Dreamfleet Site.

Don't you think it is time to remove everything about the A340. I mean, the plan was terminated a while ago, in 4 years time, details of why the project was abandoned will still be there.

Also too many airbuses on the market? That did not stop Wilco Publishing releasing another A320.

Too many Boeings? probably yes, so why release another 737, I do not care if it is a NG instead of a -400. There is no market for another one.

747? PSS already released one too long ago, there is just no market for another 747, unless its the -100 or -200.

727? Captain Simulations announced a while after dreamfleet stating they were also releasing a 727. There is no market for too many 727s.

    Smartass.

I agree the A340 should be removed, but that's up to them, isn't it?

And I'm buying the DF 727 and 737NG. Along with many other people, I'm sure.

We'll see how Wilco's A320 will do, eh?

Anyhoo, this post breaks the rules by degrading other products, and I expect it'll be locked.

The NG has not even been started yet!

Also the Airbus "Was far too much of a challenge for Dreamfleet to produce than a Boeing as it is a more complex aircraft"

One other thing I am really fed up of though is a following example.

"I really love 'this aircraft' you produced, it is the best on the market, therefore I will ALWAYS buy from Dreamfleet and not even think of trying another manufacturers product"

I mean it always happens, One day the developers will just release a poor product, and that will prove that no programmers will ever be 100% perfect.

I'm currious what precipitated this post. But since it's here, I'll comment on what is obviously your oppinion.

I agree that the time has come that the A340 link be removed. It's been a few months, so maybe a copy that page should move into the FAQ area (It may be there already), so that it can be referenced in the future.

I don't agree with everything else you said. So there is more than one designer of a particular aircraft for FS. Competition can be a good thing. Yes I think new things are good, but I also think that there is really a demand for the 737 and Airbus aircraft. That's why even now, after two years, the DF 734 is still a popular aircraft. It still sells.

And it doesn't supprise me that DF is planning on making a 737NG. People will still buy it, what ever model that will be. The 737 is one of the most popular and long lasting aircraft lines ever made, and it's no wonder that people want to fly them in FS. The same can be said about the 747. Who wouldn't want to fly the biggest commercial aircraft still flying.

I think it would be nice to see some variations, like maybe a 757 or 767. But developers like Dreamfleet have to design the product that will sell the best. Lou Betti has repeditly said that people want speed and sofistication in an aircraft. That's why the Cessna 310L that they are finishing devolpment on will be turbocharged and feature an advanced Garmin GNS-530 NAV/COM/GPS unit, it's what the majority of people want.

So why wouldn't they take this philosophy of give the people what they want to their other products. It makes sense to me. :-)

The last thing I will say about this, as I have spent more time on it than I think it really deserves, is that why are you questioning DF's judgment? Do you think that you know how to run their buisness better than they do? Give these people a little credit here. They've been doing this for some time now, and are still around, so they must be doing something right. :-)

Well, said Joe, and Boeing 737400, how do know that the NG hasn't been started yet? Just because they're working on a 310 and 727, doesn't mean other members aren't working on an NG. And I'm sure that when the NG is released, you'll be flying it along with a lot of other people.

I think Lou's probably got a secret contract with Boeing like Microsoft seems to have :-lol.
