For I am a bad painter and given the Cardinal possibly one of the most basic yet ugly schemes yet! :-) I saw a beautiful Cardinal on Saturday, and liked the colours on it, so have attempted to match the colours, not the scheme. Once I get the film develeoped, I hope I can get a pic from it so I can paint that (yes I know, I should probably be stepping right away from painting... ;-)).

Feel free to mock, laugh, or point at my monster :D

Gotta fly around NZ in a ZK marking instead of all these N numbers. Spent the weekend up at Kapati Aeroclub and shot off a roll of film, so I might try to post some shots when I get the film back tomorrow in the screenshot forum or here if DF lets me ;-)

HEHEH, I like Finnish roge's better. They give you a chance to get some funny registrations. Like the two Pitts S-2B's that were in Finland, others reg number was OH-TOM (according to the owner Tom Angelma) and other one was OH-SKY...

And if I ever own a plane, it's registration will be OH-SHT :P

ps. James, your scheme is looking great. It will look nice on the RG too :-)

It's tempting mate...but I have no pics of the scheme unfortunatly. Film didnt wind on enough when I changed it. I've got the white cowling though :-lol

Hmmm...why did countries choose the registration codes they did? It could be interesting to see what the head of aviation at the time were smoking when they though up the prefixes :-lol
