Default In memory of a dear friend

I didn't know where else to post this, but wanted to say something in public to remember my dear friend, Flavo Zeni, who I just learned passed away in Italy, after a bout with cancer.

Flavio was one of those rare breeds these days; a European trained northern Italian Maitre d'. I knew Flavio for over 25 years, as he worked at some of the finest restaurants in this area, the last 12 of which were at my "hang out" Villa Amalfi. There, we always had a wonderful time chatting with Flavio about all sorts of topics, while he took excellent care of us. He personally oversaw my wedding there in 1994, and countless dinners and parties I have been to. After so many years he had become more a member of our family than a "servant".

We were very saddened when Flavio became sick this spring, and later went back to Italy. I knew that when I saw him last, at his going away gathering, that it would be the last time I would see him. I was most honored that I was asked to say some words in public to him at that time.

Here is to a great a good man, a one-of-kind. I've met my share of fine maitre d'hotels over the years, but none could exude the warmth, charm, class, and the genuinely good heart that Flavio did.

Tanti saluti, Flavio! Now, reserve a table for me up there, I'll be needing it sooner or later; a nice one in the corner, eh? ;-)

My blessings to his sister and family.

    Regards,

    Lou

I am very sorry Lou, it is very sad to loose a friend or family member :(

I really feel sorry, it must be hard to forget about it, specially when it's someone so close to you.

Looks like he was one nice guy, and i am sure he was.
I wish he rests in peace now

    Best Regards

    Lou,

Its always sad to loose a good friend.... but dont look at this as a loss because "To be absent from the body, is to be one with the Father".

As good of a time as he had here in this earth, Im sure he is having a better time where he is now.

Those were very nice words Lou.

It's always hard to loose a good friend..........

The only thing that we can be absolutely sure about in this world is that we all will gather up there, at FL 700000000000000000, sooner or later.

1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.
3.) We will give you the latest features, but we WILL NOT sacrifice visual accuracy to implement them. Accuracy comes before eye candy.[/font size]
