Thread: 737-More Comments About Battery Drain

  1. Default 737-More Comments About Battery Drain

I know I've already covered this, but has anyone out there found a solution that works for the battery drain problem? I bit over a half hour into each flight, the battery dies. No matter what. I've played with all of the alleged "bugs" with the DF737 and found nothing else to be wrong with the whole thing. Yes, that's a really cool, but the battery thing bugs me. Thanks for your ideas (serious and tested replies only please).

I think the battery drain problem is a bug within Flight Simulator.

If you get FSUIPC from www.schiratti.com, one of its many, many features is a correction for the bug.

Actually, the DF737 needs FSUIPC.dll to work.

    Running 2.88. Doesn't help.

Please be more specific. What settings are you using within FSUIPC..? - and which version of FSUIPC? The battery fix long-ago fixed this vestigial problem for most.

I only use default settings in FSUIPC. What should I change?

Ok. I've set the battery life to infinite. I'll let you know what happens.

It's good to read the manual... but you don't say whether you're using the latest FSUIPC version, which offers much finer control over battery life - it doesn't have to be infinite, you can actually factor the lifespan, which is immeasurably better than the MS default settings.

Another one of those piddling little details that MS had better fix for FS2004 - or else employ Pete Dowson or license FSUIPC and ship the bloody sim with it in the first place.

Ok. FSUIPC 2.88 and Battery Life extended to indefinite. It stil died after about a half an hour. Anyone who says that they have solved this problem care to take a shot at helping me do the same??
