Default Wing views for the upcoming A340...

This might be a minor issue for some people - and I can understand that. But for me wing views give me a feel of flying. I have never flown a real aircraft (except 10 minutes in an ultralight - not much to boast about) so my flying experience is that of a passenger.

When I use wing views in DF734 I get a feel that I can identify with as it is something that I have experienced in real life.

I have bought the PSS Airbus. While it is too early to discuss the ups and downs of it one thing I know for sure - I miss the wing views terribly.

What I am trying to say here is this : please implement wing views in you A340. If it affects frame rates provide it as an option. If you can implement moving parts - GREAT !. If not even a clean configuration is much better than nothing.

Flight Simulators are things that create illusions. An illusion of a wing view makes that flight simulation illusion more real.

Thanks for your time folks. If you agree with me just reply with "hear, hear" so DF can make a better decision as to whether they will implement it or not.

    Cheerio

LAST EDITED ON Mar-15-02 AT 09:46AM (EDT)[p]We WILL have wing views for the A340, but whether these are static 2D views, as with the 737, or have moving parts (3D wings) remains to be seen.

It all depends on what FS2002 allows us to do, and frame rate impact.

Shown below is the 2D wing view, without moving parts, as we have with the 737.
