Can somebody tell me if the FMC can be made smaller than the default size and how to change it. THANKS

You should be able to drag an edge of the FMC to resize.

Yes the FMC can be reduced in size. Move your curser to the left side of the FMC unit until the horizontal double-ended arrow appears. When the arrow appears, hold a left click and move right which will reduce the overall width of the unit. It will appear as though the right side is disappearing into the screen. When you have reduced the width to about one half of its original size release the click and click again. The height will be reduced to maintain the original aspect ratio and based on the new width. You can reduce the size to whatever size you desire.

If you wish to permanently change the size of the
FMC/CDU you can go into the directory
FS2002\Flight One Software\737 Flight Management Computer
where the file FMC.cfg resides. There you will find
parameters to change the default size as well as other
characteristics of the FMC

In my experience, the FMC.cfg file is updated when you resize. My FMC remembers its previous size.
