I just ordered a new book from Airways Magazine called The Pilots Guide to The Modern Airline Cockpit by Stephen M.Casner.The book is all about glass cockpits and the fmc,Stephen uses the 737 for his subject and at the end compares it with the 747-400.The book goes through a flight with the fmc how to deal with hold,diversions,intercepts.The book is great so far and I am still trying to understand the fmc.Lou I hope you don't mind my plugging this book but it is great for your 737.
