Hello All,

this question I suppose goes beyond just the DF737, but I'm trying to figure out how to decide what climb N1 and climb rate to pick?

I've been able to figure out that a pretty good climb speed is 240kts. This figure seems to be suggested by a number of tutorials for below 10000. On the DF737, this equates to about 70%N1 if I climb at around 1800fpm (another figure suggested in some tutorials).

Now, 70%N1 seems pretty low power to me, especially considering I can climb at 2000fpm at 310kts with about 82%N1 over 10000'.... So my question is, what sort of thrust / speed / climb rate should I pick? Should I maintain 80%N1 below 10000' and set a higher climb rate to maintain 240, or keep 2000fpm and a lower N1.... I know that many of these questions are probably defined by airline policy in RL, but maybe there's some pilots out there that can help me out.

As a newbie to flight simulators, this is the sort of information I'm really finding hard to find... Is there somewhere that this info can be found on the 'Net ?

Thanks in advance,
Chris.
