Default Will the DFA340 panel be compatibile with the upcoming POSKY A340 model?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-14-02 AT 01:04PM (EDT)[p]Just wanted to ask this before the plane gets too far into development... I'm sure the DF model will be superb, but POSKY has something really special going on with the stuff they make and I'm sure I'll be wanting to use both the DF and POSKY models... Is there a chance they could be compatible "out of the box" so to say??

Thanks!

I would guess that the DF 2D panel will be compatible*, but you won't get the virtual cockpit DF is making. That is tied to the model.

*Some of us are using the DF734 panel with the MS734.

Hehe, i am sure the 2D bits will work, like the DF737 with the Ariane e.t.c... But once you get a VC in the model, you'll be hooked to DF Visual :)

VC's r the best part of 2002 :)

Isn't POSKY doing a VC too? (I remember seeing that it was being made in GMAX...)

To do a VC it requires guages, and POSKY designs only models <G>... I guess they could make DF guages fit in the end if they wanted... all depends on copyrights e.t.c...

Not sure my guess is it it far to early to tell. But I would say no that it will Not beacuse of the VC. But DF might offer an updated airfile like they did for the Ariane and PF 737's.

Aren't you forgeting the FFG Bus? I think that's going to rule the skies above, not Posky/Dreamfleat.

:-lol

Good thinking Liam, I'm glad someone said that.

Yeah, everyone sells us short, they did it with the 737 also, and I guess Fraser, who is designing the A340 must be having a good laugh about this thread also.

In the end, our A340 panel will be compatible with whatever aircraft you wish it to be, provided you, the user, is willing to put in the time to make it compatible, as we will not be doing so.

Our A340 aircraft will be of sufficient quality that there should be no need to go to any other aircraft.

In fact, since others see the need to "advertise" other models, and say how they will "rule", let me make one thing perfectly clear:

We don't do this work to take second place to anyone. ;-)

You can be certain that Fraser Turner will see that it is his A340 model that "rules".

My God, is this all childish, or what? Why even the need for this thread? It's sort of like "my toy is better than your toy", and you have not even seen our "toy" yet! :-lol

In fact, if I were "politically correct" (I'm not) I would add:
Fraser Turner should be taking parts of this thread as an insult to his abilities. Abilities that I think none of you are even remotely aware of, for if you were, this thread would not even exist. ;-)
