Default ESD Release 3 but no 'Save Full FLT' in FMC

    Hi,

im new to DreamFleet/737 an let me first say: I am impressed. Great job!

I read the docu and scanned the board, but i found no

1.) I have the ESD Release 3 but no 'Save Full FLT' in FMC
    -> using normal installation
    -> using FMC within FS2k2

2.)Strange behavior of Autopilot on Takeoff
Why is the Autopilot trying to gain speed by
lowering the nose? Is that 'normal' in 737-AP or am I simply
misleaded from the AP in FS2k2?
(FS2K2 i applyed the AP after Takeoff to accelerate and
    climb)
If i do with the Dreamfleet-AP i will crash since the AP is
lowering the nose until i crash into ground

3.) I can't find a word about the TCAS in the docu
Hmm, so far i 'only' read quickstart and FMC-Manual several
times, but i am still unconcern if my 'version' is up-2-date
and weather or not i'm am 'doing it right' (see AP-Question)

4.) Some recordings are too loud compared to the rest of the FS2k2-Sound
I know, that one can lower the eviro-sounds in the FS2k2-setup, but that does not work with co-pilot and other included sounds.
Does someone know a freeware batch-programm which can do the job?

    5.) I have no Marker-Sounds

6.) is it possible to add V1/Rotate-Callouts?
If its not 'in the box' -> I did a FS2k2-gauge some time ago which does Vx-Callouts. Where/How do i 'find/retrieve' the actual Vx (the ones cimputed from FMC).

Don't get me wrong. I realy like your work, but i still have that questions.
I hope someone can help a dreamfleet-newbie out. thanks and excuse my bad english.

Did you read GA734_update.pdf? This will answer most of your questions. Did it come with ESD 3 (whatever that is)? It definitely came with the final update patch.

    >1.) I have the ESD Release 3 but no 'Save Full FLT' in FMC
    > -> using normal installation

The final update documentation mentions this. It is no longer available. You can just save in FS and save FMC data at the same time. This is basically equivalent.

    >3.) I can't find a word about the TCAS in the docu. Hmm, so far i 'only' read quickstart and FMC-Manual several times

See the update PDF for this, as well as instructions on the DIR/INT functionality.

    >4.) Some recordings are too loud compared to the rest of the FS2k2-Sound. I know, that one can lower the eviro-sounds in the FS2k2-setup, but that does not work with co-pilot and other included sounds.

You'll have to modify the .wav files yourself. Hopefully someone will mention some good programs for doing this. In fact, I believe it has been mentioned over the past couple weeks. A forum search would likely find the answer for you.

    >5.) I have no Marker-Sounds

Turn on the MKR button on the radio panel and you will hear them. Again, this is in the update documentation. See a theme here?

    >6.) is it possible to add V1/Rotate-Callouts?

I don't believe it is possible.

    Good question.

Hi Thomas and thanks Lee :-)

Indeed, the sounds are set at a fixed volume and cannot be set. If you want to lower their volume, you will need to get a good wav-editor and lower the volume in the wavfiles, which are located in your FS2002 sounds folder.

There are plenty available in share- or freeware, I found a nice selection at www.tucows.com.

    Best regards, Elmar

    Thanks Lee for helping me!

Well, Flight1 and the Dreamfleet-Installer himself calls the current Version of 'Greatest Airliners: The 737-400' 'ESD Release 3' (i might be wrong since i'm not native-english).

    >Again, this is in the update documentation. See a theme here?

well, thanks for helping. I got the theme. no problemo.

    At http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=737-2002 i read about the update-patch

Please note that this patch is not required if you see "ESD Release 3" in the wrapper screen of your downloaded software (if you downloaded after Jan. 3, 2002).

and same goes for the cold-climate patch

Cold Climate Update (3MB). This update addresses issues when flying in very cold weather. This update is recommended for all users. It is currently not in the above update so please download this separately. Again, this update is not required for "ESD Release 3" users.

due to the fact that i downloaded on late Jan. 3rd (local time EDHK) i already got the Release3 and so i followed the hints and did not download the patches...

Well, anyway. I got it now. BIG THANKS again Lee for helping me!

I am currently downloading the patch to see the update-documentation. I will do the same with the cold Climate Update...

I believe it might be a good idea to include this update-documentations (GA734_update.pdf) into the 'normal' release or make it available on the web. New Customers will surely appreciate it and don't have to download 18MB and/or question the forum.

as i said: no offence intended. I was just unsure what to do and were looking for help (which i got very fast). Thanks again.

    Hi,

You do need the manual addendum. It is not in ESD Release 3, but it is now available with all the other documentation.

You can get it directly at:

    http://www.flight1software.com/esdfi...4_ADDENDUM.zip

    Thanks,

Thanks for pointing out the typo...

The flight1software.com site is basicially the "publishers site" and flight1.com is where everything is displayed to the public.
