Thread: Jeff a Question for you...

  1. Default Jeff a Question for you...

Given the tragic events earlier in the day, I was wondering if it is hard to fly the 737 while you are crying :-lol :-lol :-lol

If only we could have played like that against LSU we would be smelling roses right now!

    <NARRATOR>

Jeff strolls out of the room hoping that Tom will not notice. ;-)

In light of the embarrassing loss to the "Volunteers" :-roll, Jeff will have to lie low for a while and let the storm blow over.

Hopefully, Tom won't remember anything about this after his beer-induced coma wears off. ;-)

Do, di, do, out da door.....trot, trot, trot...

However, in the distance you can hear Jeff mumble, "How did we get so spanked by Tenn.....ahhh, must be all that inbreeding."

For the benefit of people who don't live in the US - (and the internet is an international medium) - what are these numbers?

The number of people in each state who know when to use "its" rather "it's", perhaps?

The number of people who know that "momentarily" means "for a moment", not "in a moment"?

The number of people who can speak for 30 seconds without saying "if you will", "like", "cool"?

    Just wondering. :P

How many people that know "pissed" means "intoxicated" or "drunk" and not "angry".

I think it is the number of people who know a "moon pie" contains no moon, but a "cow-pie" contains parts from a cow :-)

    Default HERE'S THE TRUTH....

All right Tom, I'm back. ;-)

To clarify this point, the numbers above simply represent:

[font size=5]THE AVERAGE AGE OF THOSE GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL![fontsize=2]

    Paul, you ask-

"The number of people who know that "momentarily" means "for a moment", not "in a moment"?"

You should probably be aware that the liberal education forces that have been writing dictionaries in this country for the last couple of centuries have been departing from the King's English quite dramitically. To wit - The American Heritage Dictionary, Second College Edition (1982) lists as its (not it's in this case) definition for "momentarily" as thus:

momentarily (adv.) - 1. For only a moment. 2. VERY SOON (my emphasis). 3. From moment to moment.

On behalf of all who reside in the United States, I offer my utmost and heartfelt apologies for our insults on the language.
