Default Plane Shut Down During Flight

I was making a flight from San Diego to San Francisco and two thirds through the flight everything shut down; including the engines. This is the second time this has happened. Everything is going along fine, then nothing. This was an FMC controlled flight and until the displays went blank all was well. Thanks for any help!

    Sure you had enough fuel?

    I'm only asking :-)

I thought I had enough fuel, but I will try again with more and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the input.

I did the flight again and you were right; I ran out of gas! Incredible. :-)

    Thanks

Now I don't feel too dumb. Thought I had enough fuel also. But to my consternation, and the poor SB Controller at LIRF, I ran out. However, I thought I was cheating it, by adding more real quick. Which brings me to my next problem. What is the sequence for an inflight restart?

Put 'er in neutral, pull the choke, turn the key, hit the gas...

If that don't work just leave the key 'on', put it back into gear, pop the clutch and see if that gets her going again (kinda bumpy for the passengers though).

If you let it stop completely it can be really hard to organize enough friends to push-start that old 737 again... And if you ask too often, they seem to get annoyed for some reason.
