Thread: API problem build 52

    Default API problem build 52

When I go to use an API object I can't seem to get a representative footprint for the object. In previous builds I could at least edit this, now I just get a circle and the square or rectangle selection options dont seem to work.

Any ideas? It makes placing APIS a bit of a small nightmare.

The display symbol for the API object is selected in the API editing dialog, not the Scenery Object dialog. After selecting the API file, press the Edit button, and open the Edit dialog. From there you can select one of several standard types, or scan the API file to try to create the outline (this is what Airport for Windows did by default), or enter you own. Once you select one and save it, it will always be used for that API file.

I agree this is confusing and I'll grey out the Object symbols to make it clear those symbols are not used.

Thanks for the fast reply Tom! Just what I needed, no sweat now, all is fine. I just didnt get the scan API button, I saw it but did not think that was what I needed to edit the footprint.

I guess it would be nice if the footprint was auto read like before, but this is fine for me!

Again thanks for the swift answer, this is a great forum!
