    Default SGX Build 23 Posted

A new build is posted which fixes things reported and adds more objects to the import list, including VORs and NDBs. The problem with taxiway names on import is fixed. Specifying textures on slant and ridge roofs is fixed, and changes were made in the Autosafe routine when storing a safety copy of the .SGX file in the recycle bin to avoid any name collisions.

Also, the first build of a new help file is included, which has two tutorials going through basic operation and importing default scenery. It's still rough, but it's a first step.

There is a new installation routine also, using the Windows Installer which is supposed to be used for Win2000 and WinXP. Let me know if you have any difficulties with it.

Thanks Very Much for all the work you're putting into SGX. It's really shaping up with each new build.

    Hi Edgar,

We would need more information on your problem.

Note, make sure you are using a decimal vice a comma for fractions. It is best to set your computer to English (United States) in your Regional Settings when doing Flight Simulator design. At the very least, set the fraction indicator to a decimal vice comma.

There is no limit in SceneGenX on the number of taxiways. Please give me the exact working of the error message you are getting. It does not have anything to do with the number of taxiways, something else is wrong.

    Hi Edgar..

I would try selecting Taxiway Point 65 (<Sections\Taxiway Points\Your Project\Right-Click to Delete) and deleting it and then recompiling to see if it fixed the problem.

If it requires that you delete a taxiway segment in order to delete the duplicated point, then I'd go ahead and delete the segment and rebuild it once the program is compiling properly.

    Edgar,

If you send me your *.sgx file, I will try and troubleshoot it - wsieffert@cfl.rr.com

I am working on a airport with over 105 taxiway points without error.
