    Default Start locations

    Hi,I'm new to this forum and new to Airport 2.60.Your basic rookie/newbie and I would appreciate some help.I have created a scenery for CFS1 using an aircraft carrier macro (a common macro RAF662 used in its Gurnesy Island Fleet).I am having trouble with the start location.I do not see a way to elevate the start location so each time I CFO to the carrier,it has to be off to the side.Other wise I end up under the deck.I have tried both an invisible polygon and runway,set to an elevation of the carrier deck height but my AC and runway or polygon still end up at sea level.The deck of the carrier is landable so if I can get to 65 ft.I'll be in business.I have created 2 airfields on land and a runway set to proper elevation puts my start locations right where they should be.I can't figure out this aircraft carrier problem though.Any help,hints or otherwise would be appreciated.Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hi David.. Since you mention that your carrier's deck is already landable, can't you just go into the sim, place your plane on the deck where desired and create and save a start-up 'flight' or 'situation' file that will locate your AC there at start-up? I'm not familiar with CFS1 but in the other non-combat sims you can do that. That way, you wouldn't need to create any add-on.

    Yes, I always save flights but at some point someone using that scenery will not have that.It would be a nice to have a "normal " setup. I appreciate the response.

    OK David.. That makes sense.. I wish I had experience with CFS1 but I don't and these M$ scenery engines don't all act the same way. I can tell you how I've done that in FS98, FS2000 and FS2002 but not CFS1 or 2.

    Surely someone knowlegable on that sim will step in here and give some pointers.

    Good Luck;
    J.R.
