    Default Exclude problem??

Love this program, just one problem so far.
created one airport, to get rid of default trees i went to scenery config and entered coordinates for exclude, worked perfect!!
Then on the second airport did the same thing but the exclude excludes my whole airport, what did i miss on airport 2?

Chances are the effective area of the described "exclude" is too large and encompasses the tiles which are used to describe the default airport.

Try making your exclude area smaller, or you may even need to shift the coordinates in one direction or another (in the General Menu) so that the airport itself is not affected.

    Default RE: Exclude problem??

Thanks for the info. This is a new airport there was no default airport in this location, My first Airport was in a new location also but that exclude just excluded default trees which is just what i wanted to get them off my tarmac. I just can't figure what is the difference between my first airport and my second.
Exclude area is about the same size??

I just re-read your messages......if you're using Apt 2.6 for the design tool, why are you messing around in the scenery.cfg file?? You can create exclude areas within the menus of Apt 2.6 and as long as the coordinates are accurate, the affected area (exclude) can be pretty good too.

I usually make an exclude as a separate *.bgl file and in the 'Properties' box, using Windows Explorer, change its attributes to "Read only". The reason for this last step is because Apt 2.6 sometimes "erases" the exclude file when compiling the scenery *.bgl.

Once I'm happy that the area is "clean" of unwanted objects, I then begin building the airport that I have in mind.
