I don't have Airport open in front of me but....isn't there a selection box that asks you where and what folder you want Airport to look in for the textures??

You might have the program looking in all the wrong places.

    Hi there,:-jumpy

Designing scenery using Airport 2.10/2.60 req's you to have all the associated textures for objects you use within the Airport program, such as trees, for instance.

Just browse to this link and download the Airportxxx textures ------> http://simviation.com/fsdutilsdesn1.htm

    Two things to consider:
After you download these textures, copy them to your flightsim texture directory. That is, if you use FS2K, CFS1, and/or CFS2, then copy and paste to each texture directory.
Secondly, add any associated Airport textures that are needed to your new scenery/texture subdirectory if you are going to upload or send your new scenery to your friends. Saves you any further work down the road.....

    Happy designing,

    Paul

Check the Options/Preferences/Directories for the location of the scenery installation. The Texture routine tries to look for a \texture pair to that location.

I have run into this warning many times, What it means is that you have placed an airport object in your scenery that requires the accompanying texture for it. FS2k will not read the texture from Airport 2.10, It must be placed on one of two places 1 the 001 oav texture must be placed either in Fs2k texture folder, or the texture folder of your scenery you are creating. To do this look in Airport 2.10 texture folder, locate the 001 oave texture, and copy and paste into one of the texture folders mentioned above. If you fail to do this when you look at your scenery your object that calls for this texture will appear in white without texture. Remember that when you upload your scenery, that if you don't include all the textures for all the objects you placed, the downloader will experience the missing textures, and you will get all sorts of e.mails with the problem. When you see a missing texture patch in Flightsim.com this was the problem. A scenery designer may instruct in his scenery instructions that all the Airport 2.10 textures are required, this means for the downloader to obtain all the textures furnished by 2.10 and copy them in the Fs2000 texture folder, this way all the 2.10 objects will be covered by their proper texture, and everything will work.

Hint, When you are working in 2.10 with the grid, click on view, in dropdownlist click Scenery distribution files list. You will get a list of all the files and textures you need in the scenery you are working on. This list will not cover your user textures.

So place the texture file called for in the warning in one of the two folders mentioned above, then compile, and the warning sign should be gone, and your object will view perfectly.

    Hope this helps.

Ok Thanks. Just 3 more questions: where can I get aircraft gates and 2 can I make a float aircraft dock? If I can how? Last but not least 3: I would like to design some buildings alone for my VA (www.flightsim.com/aea).If I got the exact coordinates and those coordinates were on a block of concrete, would the building be on that block or would that mess up the scenery? Remember just buildings.

    Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated,
    Blake :-wave
