Cleveland, OH (AP) – Virtual Flight Options a virtual fractional jet company, headquartered in Cuyahoga County Ohio, just out side of Cleveland announced the then planned now available website redesign and new features. This comes just a little more than two months after the re-opening of VFO under new management. President Steve Carlson, when asked about the redesign so soon after the launch of the new site, was quoted as saying “While looking into additional feature support and XHTML compliance, the amount of work to redesign the site with an up to date look and cleaner feel was not going to involve much more work.”

The website re-opened early this morning at 0600 Zulu with the new look, and many new features. The new features include an ACARS chat system for pilots and dispatchers to communicate via text while aircraft are in flight, in addition to the already available Teamspeak server for voice communication. New custom flash menu and buttons on several pages. Automated email verification built into the pilot application form. A new “Pilot Profile” page with detailed statistics for each pilot of the company that includes statistics on flight hours, number of flights, and detailed aircraft statistics as well as new scenery available to pilots for Palm Beach International, based on Runway 12 libraries. The website also boasts 100% XHTML 1.1 Strict compliance, CSS compliance and as proudly pointed out by the executives of the company one of, if not the first virtual airline to offer a website with such high levels of compliance and professional design.

Some other features that have been included into the website before the redesign include Wiki software so that pilots and staff may better permanently answer frequently asked questions and exchange general knowledge freely. Weather briefing center to provide most all of the information needed for flight planning including detailed weather maps and charts all in one area. Extensive route database containing routes submitted and maintained by the pilots of the company. Additional paints of aircraft such as the newly released Feelthere Cessna Citation X. A new dynamic Charter system where pilots can reserve, fly and close charters. The days of static pages filled with years old charters are now long since gone.

As always Virtual Flight Options is looking for qualified individuals that have progressed in their virtual career to the level of professional pilot, or wish to make the change! VFO caters to those pilots who do not need to be restricted to route type systems, and restrictive rank policies. Welcome to The Fractional VA!
