Westport Virtual Charters (WPC) is a Virtual Part 135 Operation. We operate various types of Biz Jets out of our one FBO at Hanscom Field, Bedford, MA (KBED). We also have a 135 Cargo Operation out of Willow Run, Detroit, MI (KYIP).

The way Westport Virtual Charters (WPC) works is to get flying on the line for us, you must pass a check ride. This check ride is fairly easy and is just a standard flight. The check ride will show Westport that you can fly a SID, Enroute, STAR, ILS, and Non-precision approaches and segments of flights.

After you get on the line with Westport Virtual Charters (WPC) you will be asked to place a bid for the airplane you are trained and qualified on. With the bid system you will see a list of different bid lines. Each of these bid lines will be distinguished by different time frames to complete your flights associated with that bid (generally 2 weeks). After your bids are received the bid line you receive is directly correlated to your seniority in flight hrs and date of hire at Westport Virtual Charters. Once the bid lines are set you will receive a flight dispatch in which you could be asked to complete with another pilot or by yourself.

Westport Virtual Charters is run realistically and many of our board of directors are pilots in the real world. Two of us, including myself are pilots of Biz Jets. While we have many real life pilots in the Board of Directors we have some directors that are strictly Virtual Pilots. To remind us that not everyone is a real life pilot. If what has been described above seems like something you would be interested in being a part of we would graciously accept you at Westport Virtual Charters. We are currently a small company looking to expand, so you could have input into our expansion at Westport.

In the next few months, Westport Virtual Charters will be entering our first stage of expansion given in our 2007 strategic business plan. We have taken out a loan to purchase a few more new aircraft including three (3) Pilatus PC-12s, one (1) King Air 200, one (1) Citation X, one (1) Legacy, and three (3) DC-8-63F.

In this plan the Pilatus will be used in winter operations out of Naples, FL (KAPF) and flown in the Caribbean, Florida, and the surrounding region. During the summer, the Pilatus will be repositioned to the Northeast and fly charters in the North East region of the United States (primarily between New York City and Cape Cod and the Islands).

The new King Air 200, Citation X, and Legacy will be based at our brand new FBO opening up in Aspen, CO (KASE). We are scheduled to take delivery of our new additions to the fleet on March 31st, 2007 and they should be in use as of the first week of April 2007.

The final part of our expansion plan will be the delivery of the DC-8-63F. Westport Virtual has already put one of the DC-8s into use. Westport Virtual Charters started our cargo operation by doing contract work for larger Virtual Cargo companies. Westport saw the light at the amount of money made in cargo operations and decided to start flying a Boeing 727-100. The success of the 727-100 has brought the need for a larger cargo transporter. For the price, the DC-8-63F met our needs to increase our cargo lift capabilities at Westport Virtual Charters. By year end, we plan on having all three DC-8-63F's in use and perhaps have two more DC-8-72's (CFM engines) hauling cargo for our Cargo division.

This expansion program leaves Westport Virtual Charters with a lot of position openings. Westport Virtual Charters is still in need of Management type personnel also. We are a growing Virtual Airline that is still shaping itself in this ever so volatile market of virtual aviation. We do run realistically but we like to include fun in there also. We have fly-ins once a month and sometimes even more then that.
