Thread: Anybody seen a Carrier around here?

  1. Default Anybody seen a Carrier around here?

LOL Can someone define "quite a way out" for me? I took off from Monterey (KMRY) on a hunt for the Stennis..flying heading 220 as per the instructions and am wondering if I really have enough fuel on board my BlueAngels F-18 to get there..

Anybody made this particular trip? I don't swim well LOL

    thanks

"A quite a ways out" is pretty much the same as "just over yonder" or "down the road a piece."

No fair laughing at me it took me 3 hours to find it the first time about a month ago but it was fun. I take off from Mesa Del Rey KKIC on a heading of about 218* to 220* but this will give you an idea how far it is out there. Try to stay at about 3500 feet. I tryed to post 1024x768 but it was 102K. When you find it why dont you take a screen shot like I have so I can laugh at you.

I see if I can get an old A-6 with buddy stores out of the desert to fly over your way with a little JP-5. If you have a navigation program, such as, FSNav, Nav3.1, Super Flight Planner, you could put the lat, lon in and plot the course from were you are at.

    Nice Screenshot !
If you install the new Arrestor Cables program by Rich Hogen, you can land that Tomcat at the right (offset) angle...if you like that stuff, I have a little site on topic.

Hey, where do you get that ship? It's not a default one is it? I have been wanting one that is moving to try to land on. If it is a downloadable ship, is it hard to put in the sim? Can you tell me where to find the files? I have looked with no luck. Please let me know!
    Thanks, Chris
